About
Full description
With Michelin star restaurants scattered across the city, weekends dedicated to brunch and dinners covered in gold leaves, there’s no denying the gastronomy scene in Dubai is truly outstanding.
But it wouldn’t be complete without the added spice from traditional Arab cuisine. Whether you’re a self-proclaimed foodie or just looking to enjoy some authentic dishes surrounded by the magic of Old Dubai, our Authentic Dubai Food tour is your answer.
The flavourful walking tour starts at the Spice Souk, where you can learn about local spices and how they are used in various dishes. You’ll then stop to enjoy a fresh juice before taking a trip across the creek in an abra – a traditional wooden boat used for centuries as a mode of transport in Dubai.
The next stop on your culinary journey leads you on a short walk through the souq to Bur Dubai. Find your perfect spot at the Bayt Al Wakeel restaurant, ideal for some relaxing by the creek. Indulge in beautiful views and the local culture, as numerous abras glide by. The scenic setting can only be bettered with a delicious selection of starters to share with your companions. Then, it’s time for a more substantial meal. You’re in for a truly authentic meal, as you make your way to Robou Al Yemen Mandi Restaurant. Tuck into Mandi, a traditional Middle Eastern dish using meat and rice, cooked in a pit, with a special blend of spices seen in the Spice Souk earlier in the day.
No gastronomy tour in Dubai would be complete without dessert! Our last stop of the day concludes at City Creek Restaurant, where you can try a selection of Arabic sweets and desserts while enjoying beautiful views over the creek.
