This experience is a spectacular break from the morning routine and includes unforgettable activities you will always remember, including a hot air balloon ride over the desert at sunrise and a range of activities that will bring you closer to the magic of the dunes.
Starting before daybreak, the Morning Desert Adventure begins with the trip of a lifetime on a Hero hot air balloon.
Hero Air Balloon are specialists in immersive, one-of-a-kind experiences, and their exclusive access to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve provides guests with incredible views across some of the most captivating landscapes in the world.
You will take in the desert sunrise from a truly unique vantage point when you start the day with this phenomenal activity.
Once you have seen one of the world’s best sunrises, you will be transferred to the starting point of your Morning Desert Adventure.
A thrilling dune drive follows, where you'll feel every element of the rugged desert terrain as we take you up, down and across the dunes.
The camel ride and sandboarding sessions are both calming and thrilling and are unique experiences you’ll only be able to enjoy in the desert.
Breakfast on the dunes is included as part of your adventure, so you can enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime first meal of the day.
Throughout your Morning Desert Adventure, there will be plenty of opportunities to spot the local wildlife that call the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve their home.
Please note: For pickups from Abu Dhabi, Ras al Khaimah, Umm al Quwain, Al Ain, and Fujairah, private vehicle bookings will be subject to an AED 200 surcharge per vehicle, and shared vehicle bookings will be subject to an AED 200 surcharge per booking.

Know before you go
- Morning Desert Adventure:
- We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, including sneakers/walking shoes and modest dress.
- Temperatures in the desert can fluctuate quickly. Warm afternoons can turn into cool evenings, particularly in winter.
- We recommend wearing sunscreen for your activity and packing a pair of sunglasses and a hat.

- Please inform our team of any existing medical conditions before joining. Where necessary, we will make alternative arrangements for certain activities to ensure guest comfort.
- Expectant mothers and guests with existing medical conditions will be required to skip the 4x4 dune drive for their comfort.
- Transfers to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras al Khaimah, Umm al Quwain, Al Ain, and Fujairah are subject to an AED 200 surcharge per vehicle for private vehicle bookings and AED 200 per booking for shared vehicle bookings.
- Hero Balloon Experience – Terms and Conditions:
- All bookings require Emirates ID numbers or Passport Numbers for each passenger at the time of booking, per Gulf Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulations.
- Itineraries may change due to weather, seasonal conditions, or Conservation Reserve requirements.
- Guests acknowledge and accept inherent risks in activities, including injury, illness, or loss. Participation is voluntary.
- No child under the age of 5 years can be accepted for a hot air balloon flight.
- Children 5 years or older pay full adult fare.
- Children may be required to be seated in booster seats or other child-safety-accredited seating.
- Fitness Requirements:
- Hot Air Balloon guests must be able to safely jump in and out of the balloon basket.
- The company assumes no responsibility for health conditions; participation is at guests’ own risk.
- Pregnant Guests:
- Hot Air Ballooning is not recommended for pregnant guests.
- Only permitted within the first trimester; not allowed in the second or third trimester.
- Guests who had major surgery, a broken leg/arm in the last 6 months, or suffer from chronic back/neck pain should not participate.
- Smoking is prohibited inside tour vehicles.
- The possession of alcohol inside all tourist vehicles is prohibited under UAE law.
- The company reserves the right to refuse guests whose behavior disrupts the group.
- Vehicles may be equipped with dashcams for safety and training purposes.
- Drones are not permitted due to UAE aviation regulations.
- Guests consent to photos or videos being taken and used for promotional purposes.

Cancellation policy
- We understand that plans can change. If they do, please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your activity. We will not be able to process refunds for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before your activity starts
- Full payment for your booking is required at least two days prior to your activity. If payment is not received before the expected date, we reserve the right to cancel your activity
- In exceptional circumstances, we may have to amend the Morning Desert Adventure schedule, or cancel the activity entirely. We reserve the right to amend and cancel activities in such circumstances, and will ensure we communicate any changes in advance where possible
- Cancellation Policy for Hot Air Balloons
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before tour departure: Eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made under 24 hours before tour departure: Not eligible for a refund.
- No refunds for failure to join a tour, late arrival, or early departure.
- Tours may be canceled if minimum guest numbers are not met. Guests will be offered an alternative tour or a full refund.
- A full refund or alternate booking date will be offered if a tour is canceled due to inclement weather.
