About
Full description
Qasr al Watan is a spectacular cultural, educational, and historic symbol of Emirati and Arabian culture. Acting as a more than just a visually striking palace, the Qasr is representative of the vision and spirit of the Emirati people, its leadership, while still being an active seat of power for the UAE.
Qasr al Watan is spread across multiple zones, each telling their own unique story to contribute to the palace experience. As you enter the Qasr, the Great Hall opens in front of you, in all its incredible architectural glory. You can take your journey east or west from here, towards the Spirit of Collaboration and Presidential Banquet, or into the Qasr al Watan Library.
The Spirit of Collaboration is the official meeting place for the UAE Cabinet and the Federal Supreme Court – the highest constitutional authority in the UAE. Named to embody the country’s values, you’ll feel a sense of unity and collaboration in this circular-shaped room, where each seat is visible and heard.
QThe Qasr al Watan Library notes the UAE’s literary contribution to both the Arabic world and international conversations. You’ll learn more about the cultural, economic, political and social history of the United Arab Emirates here. Take some time while you’re exploring to visit the Presidential Meeting Room, Presidential Banquet and the House of Knowledge – all play an official role in the governance of the country, and act as a meeting place for UAE leaders when hosting foreign dignitaries.
Among the many cultural symbols that can be discovered across Abu Dhabi, Qasr al Watan stands as one of the most significant. Playing a role as both an open centre of culture and meeting point for global political dignitaries in harmony, a day at Qasr al Watan is a true insight into the past and present of the UAE.
